In country with more than 24 million inhabitants, only the capital can be seen at night. That is North Korea in the night. NASA released photos of East Asia recorded from space, which represents most of the countries highlighted in night lights. The only exception is North Korea, which is almost entirely in the dark.
Compared with neighboring countries, China and South Korea, North Korea looks like a part of the sea. This picture was taken by astronauts from the International Space Station, suggesting that the isolated country have big problems with producing electric power. The capital city looks like a small island in this picture. As it is known North Korea has closed economy, so as much electricity they produce, that much can spend.
